Siz: A4. Should be able to see this on school LCD screen by now. (I want go take a look myself tmr!) This poster is mad for a school-based event organised by the councilors. Since the theme is red and white, I immediately associte it with the typical Japanese School Sports Day, where student body is divided into Red vs White. They will all wear a white/red headband on the sports day and compete against each other...etcetc, that's what I learned from watching anime. lol. Good source of inspiration ^3^
So tomorrow my school will also be doing something similar except that we are wearing red or white shirts. (too bad it's not headband :(
Initially, I wanted the poster to be just red and white, in an attempt to employ the idea I got from a poster in my school last year. I hoped to achieve the similar impact using only two contrasting primary colours and stylised fonts. However, it turned out to be below my expectation...(lol!)
I went to look for inspiration from my picture bank on the disk. It serves the purpose of storing images which interests me in any ways (composition, style, color choice etc). However, since I don't have the habit of naming the file properly, it's quite difficult to trace back the original site or artist at times when I'm really interested in a certain style.
By the way, the face is mouse-drawn in photoshop! XD
